Characters are almost all drawn for Euphoria. Only one left to go, Big Don. I wasn't going to draw him, but then I thought, he's gonna be a fun one to do, so I will. Probably get to him tonight.
Then, the characters will start appearing on the Euphoria blog. It's been fun to do, but I also have to think about this little publishing company I have here. What direction to take?
I figured it out. Speculative fiction.
Once I have things up and running properly, I'm thinking at least a year from now, then I'll start putting things together to publish other authors also.
Let's see where this road leads to.

It's a long time since the blog was updated and a lot has happened.
A visit to the UK in March/April was a welcome break, and on my return Euphoria was published.
As I found, just when you think you have the final proof ready, a nice little typo will catch you out!
It was an educating experience, from cover design to interior. The book is now available on www.amazon.com and www.amazon.co.uk
The cover came out exactly like the design, so very happy with the image quality and the interior.
Pricing for UK and US is affordable, and the kindle versions are lighter on the wallet.
I would like to be doing more, but house building continutes to suck up a lot of my not-so-spare time.
Hope to have news of new publications soon.

Due to the wonderful Norovirus deciding to visit me for two weeks, and then lots of 'life' situations figuring it would be great to make several unscheduled appearances, I am horribly behind in my plans. Such is Life, The Universe, and Everything.
Currently, Papaver is snowed in.
Snowed in should mean I'm working.
Euphoria will be published in March. Meanwhile the short story compilation is coming along.
The initial plan was to have the website and the blog up and running before the novel came out. The short story collection was also supposed to be prior to the novel. Best laid plans often go down the sewer though, and what we then need to do is adapt to what is, not what was.
What is, is that I'm about to release this little blog to the wider world.
What is, is how we deal with the cards we're given. Sometimes it's best to just go with the flow when things don't quite pan out the way we'd like.
I had a few things happen the last few weeks which bring home the futility of thinking we can plan, and that those plans will work out.
Those hell weeks, days, months, but hopefully not years, teach a lot if we pay attention. There are some things I'd prefer not to have happened in the last few weeks, but those things make me understand what's really important and what isn't.
So here is Papaver, here is this little blog.
I hope I can entertain you, but if not, I'll still live.
:)

Things have been slow lately, due to the fact yours truly has been sick. Ah well, it happens.
Not a lot of progress on the website, but there is progress on writing projects. Before getting sick I started on rounding up and editing the stories that are needed for the Short and the Long of Horror. I decided to combine in one book, short and longer versions of the same stories. Different yes, how it will work out is an experiment.

This weekend I managed to complete a few things on the list.
The 'about' info is done, a logo is created and a few other assorted graphics for the website (yet to be created) are completed. A facebook page has been created but as yet doesn't have a lot of info in it.
It takes time to build a small empire.
No one is at yet reading this blog. This is good, it gives me time to keep working.
